HPV and Cervical Cancer Vaccine

£210

We give the HPV and Cervical Cancer vaccine to boys and girls from the the age of 9. It protects against viruses responsible for most cases of cervical cancer in women. It’s appropriate for boys too, to protect against genital warts and certain genital and throat cancers. Two doses are required if vaccination commences under the age of 15. Children over the age of 15 and adults require three doses.   It is most effective if given before sexual activity starts and our doctors give the vaccine with an injection into the arm.

We use the newly available Gardasil 9 vaccine.

Large numbers of teenage boys are coming for the vaccination as this is not available on the NHS.

Did you know that doctors vaccinate boys and girls routinely in Australia and the USA for HPV?
