Flu frequently asked questionsFAQs
Flu vaccination is available NOW and is highly recommended for patients with asthma and other long term health conditions. Anybody can have the vaccine from 6 months of age and we specialise in administering it to children. If you are over 65, the Department of Health are advising you to have a new vaccine called Fluad which contains 3 strains and is believed to be more effective in patients over 65. Fluad is supplied for all over 65’s on the NHS national programme and we have not been able to source this vaccine for private use; however the four strain flu vaccine that we supply can be given to this age group if requested.
